Q3 IT Nation 2025: Insights, Networking, and the Future of IT Security
This week, we attended IT Nation 2025 in Manchester. As always, it's been full of learning, sharing, and networking with some of the leading names in the IT industry.
Highlights & Thoughts:
It was a pleasure to listen to Adam Spencer, an Australian mathematician. He delivered an eye-opening session on AI. With humour and sharp insight, he explored the risks of AI and its impact on business security.
Learning from a thought-provoking panel on further dangers of AI, this really captured our attention. It got us thinking deeply about evolving cyber threats and the challenges ahead. AI is certainly transforming how we work and helping us work with increased efficiency. However, it opens new doors to threat actors. By 2027, Gartner predicts that 17% of total cyber attacks and data leaks will involve generative AI. Therefore, it's important that we educate ourselves on the ways to prevent this from happening.
From IT Nation 2025, it's true to say that we came away with countless key takeaways. No doubt this will spark discussions and means that we need to refine strategies. Aligning with one of our company's core value - adaptability - we need to be alert, reactive and implement new solutions to keep our clients safe.
Celebrating the end of an era
It was also special to share this as the 2-212 group’s last session together. I have been part of this peer group over five quarters, formed with forward-thinking and ambitious leaders of IT companies similar to AMP InfoSys. We've been on a great journey together but will now move on to new peer groups, with fresh challenges and goals to achieve.
Events like these remind me why our industry thrives: collaboration, innovation, and a shared commitment to raising the bar.
