AMP InfoSys partners with Lancashire Care Association to help protect the people behind care
Care providers look after people every day. At AMP InfoSys, we’ve partnered with the Lancashire Care Association, as we believe care providers deserve the same care and attention when it comes to protecting their technology, information and services.
We’re proud to announce our partnership with Lancashire Care Association, supporting its work to bring adult social care providers together across Lancashire, Blackburn with Darwen and Blackpool.
The Association creates opportunities for providers to share knowledge, access support and work together towards better outcomes for the people they care for. As a partner, AMP brings a commitment to helping care organisations build confidence in their IT and cyber security.
Protecting technology means protecting care
For care providers, reliable IT supports much more than office administration. It helps staff access care records, coordinate rotas, communicate with families and keep essential services running.
An interrupted system, compromised email account or loss of access to important information can put extra pressure on teams who already have significant responsibilities. Protecting those systems helps protect the time, trust and continuity that good care depends on.
We believe cyber security should be understandable, manageable and rooted in the everyday needs of the organisation.
Our pledge to Lancashire Care Association and its members
Our pledge is to work alongside the Association to help care providers make informed decisions, strengthen their protection and plan ahead.
That means:
- Making cybersecurity clearer. Explaining risks and practical steps in plain English, so owners and managers can make confident decisions.
- Putting prevention first. Helping providers identify weaknesses and prioritise improvements before an incident disrupts their services.
- Respecting the realities of care. Recognising the pressures on budgets, staff and time, with advice that reflects how each organisation operates.
- Supporting lasting improvements. Encouraging good security habits and ongoing attention, alongside progress towards recognised standards such as Cyber Essentials.
- Listening and sharing knowledge. Working with the Association to understand members’ concerns and make our expertise useful to the care community.

A practical first step: our Cyber Essentials event
As part of this commitment, we’re hosting a Cyber Essentials event: Cyber Essentials – Are You Ready, or At Risk? on Thursday 12 November 2026 at Wyrebank, Garstang, in partnership with Lancashire Care Association.
Cyber Essentials is a government-backed certification scheme designed to help organisations protect themselves against common online threats. It focuses on five areas: firewalls, secure configuration, security updates, user access control and malware protection.
For care providers, it offers a practical foundation for improving security and demonstrating that essential protections are in place.
Our event will help providers understand what Cyber Essentials involves, why it matters to their organisation and how to approach the next steps. We want attendees to leave with greater clarity and the confidence to start a useful conversation about their own protection.
